Halloween San Diego

I love October in San Diego, with all the fun and scary Activities for Halloween in San Diego . Choose from this list of fun San Diego Halloween activities to get out and have some fun.

Best Scary Attraction: I think the best scary attraction is the Scream Zone at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The House of Horror is updated for 2010 season to include Rodeo Clowns, the Ward, and the Infirmary. For the brave at heart, ages 10 and up. Young children will like the Del Mar Pumpkin Station and if old enough, a ride on Mom or Dad’s lap for the Haunted Hayride. Prices - $14.99 for one scary adventure, $27.99 for all three - Haunted Hayride, The Chamber, with its spinning tunnel, and the House of Horror.

Best Pumpkin Patch: Every year we visit Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center, for some old-fashioned family fun. For only $8.75, you can enjoy a tractor hay ride, a walk through the straw maze, and pick your own pumpkin. Of course that means pumpkin carving or pumpkin pies at Halloween!

Best San Diego Haunted House: Monster Manor in Mira Mesa is a fun community haunted house in San Diego. This year the theme is Ghastley Studios, haunted by former employees and poltergeists, scaring those ages 13 and up who dare to enter. Cost - $12.00 per ticket. For the younger crowd, Lite Frite is an earlier version in the day designed to please and not scare, with Scooby-Doo and his friends. $5.00.

Best Free San Diego Halloween Event: San Diego Balboa Park Halloween Family Day, on Saturday October 30. Spend the day at lovely Balboa Park with special Halloween activities, music, and performances. Wear your Halloween costume to get in the Halloween spirit, and kids can participate in the kiddie costume parade. Children 17 and under get free admission to all museums with a paid adult admission. Visit just your favorite museum, or for $35 adults can visit 5 museums in one day.

Best Halloween Party Adults Ages 21 and Up: Halloween 2010 at the W Hotel. Adults age 21 and up will love this Halloween party with 15+ different DJs and 1,000 sexy and scary people. Buy your tickets now for just $30 in advance.

Vote Yes on Prop. 21 - CA State Parks and Beaches

Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday November 2. Vote Yes on Prop. 21 to support Cal. State Parks and Beaches. The ballot measure will create a stable source of funding for state parks. California vehicles will get free day-use admission in exchange for a new $18 annual fee. Please vote Yes to protect our beautiful California beaches and parks.
