Christmas Activities in San Diego


Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! - now through New Years Eve at the Globe Theatre in San Diego Balboa Park. One of the best Christmas San Diego family shows. Shows at 11 AM, 2 PM and 5 PM.

Parade of Lights on San Diego Bay - Sunday December 11 and Sunday Dec. 18 from 5:30 – 9:00 PM. Enjoy the Back to the Future holiday season and Christmas San Diego parade of decorated boats on San Diego Bay.

Gaslamp Quarter Holiday Pet Parade – Sunday, December 11 at 3 PM in San Diego Gas Lamp district. Dress up your pet in a holiday costume and join the holiday pet parade.

2011 Del Mar Holiday of Lights - every evening (except Monday Dec. 12) from now through New Years Day at the Del Mar fairgrounds. Enjoy the unique lights of Christmas San Diego as you drive through the light show. For some old fashioned fun, try the hayride.

Big Bay Balloon Parade and Family Festival - Wednesday Dec. 28 10 AM in downtown San Diego. Enjoy a day of fun with marching bands, spectacular floats, drill teams and enormous balloons, with Family Festival activities afterwards at the Broadway Pier.

Disneyland Christmas


Are you interested in a vacation at Disneyland for Christmas? This year, Disneyland is celebrating the Christmas winter holidays for an extended time, through January 8 2012. Give those Disneyland tickets as a Christmas present, and enjoy America’s favorite holiday destination for an extra week this year.
