Balboa Bay Wave Pool - This large pool (shown in photo above) becomes an exciting play area when the waves come. All ages, but life jackets for those less than 4 feet tall or inexperienced swimmers. Pacific Spin - This is the best ride! Either 2 person or 4 person raft ride (shorter line for 2 person) as you spin down this awesome drop. 48" height requirement. (Shown in first pic on page). La Jolla Falls - 4 high-speed slides (Banzai, Dropoff, Pipeline, Straight Shot). 48" height requirement Palisades Plunge - Three tube slides (Heavy Swell, Rincon, Wave Chaser). 42"-48" height requirementGuests between 42"-48" must wear a life jacket (provided at the water park) Solana Storm Watch Tower - Three (3) tube slides (Cyclone, Tornado, Typhoon). 42"-48" height requirementGuests between 42"-48" must wear a life jacket (provided). Imperial Run - Six (6) body slides (Beach Blaster, Green Room, Point Break, Riptide, Silver Strand, Surf Advisory. Must be 48" tall to ride. Coronado Express - Family raft ride. Must be 46" tall to ride. Lazy river - This gentle rivers is great to float in and relax as you journey around. All ages, but life jackets for those less than 4 feet tall or inexperienced swimmers. Knotts Soak City USA in a mid-size water park in southern San Diego Cal, open for about 6 months of the year through the summer season. Knotts Soak City San Diego Address: 2052 Entertainment Circle, Chula Vista, CA 91911 Phone Number: (619) 661-7373 Knotts Soak City San Diego Hours: The park opens its 2011 season on May 21. The park hours are as follows: May 21 - 22: 10 AM - 5 PM on Saturday, 11 - 5 on Sunday May 25 - 27: 10 AM opening time to 4 PM closing time May 28 - 30 (Memorial Day Weekend: the park opens at 10 AM and closes at 6 PM May 31 - June 3: 10 AM to 4 PM closing time (until 5 PM on June 3) Jun 4 - Jul 1: park open at 10 AM and close at 6 PM Jul 2 (July 4th weekend) - August 7: water park opens at 10 AM and closes at 7 PM on most Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and 10 - 6 on weekdays. This is the best time to come if you want to come later in the day, using your San Diego Go Card for a different activity in the morning Aug 8 - Sep. 4 (Labor Day weekend): Water park hours are 10 AM to 6 PM Park is open weekends only through the end of September, when the season ends. It is open on Saturdays Sept 10, 17 and 24 from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sundays September 11, 18 and 25 from 11 AM to 5 PM. For locals, this is a great time to go, as the summer crowds have left, as you can see in the water park photos on this page that were taken in September.

A great deal, and after Labor Day Weekend, it won't be very crowded. There are a number of Waterpark Deals, Discounts and Coupons. SoCal residents can buy a discount ticket at the gate for $26.99 for adults, or on line anyone can print a discount ticket for $26.99. (No discounts for kids or seniors). Another way to get discount tickets to Soak City Water Park is to arrive at 3:00 pm, when the price is only $21.99. This is a great deal when the park is open until 7 PM. In 2010 the San Diego Reader magazine had discount coupons for Knotts Soak City San Diego water park, so check it again for 2011. You may save $8.00 on regular ticket prices with coupon for ages 12+. Valid for six discounted tickets per coupon. San Diego tourists can get extra discounts with the San Diego Go Card, a great way to save money while you visit a lot of San Diego attractions, including San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, museums and more. Military discounts to Soak City San Diego are offered but must be purchased in advance at your local MWR ITT/ITR office or by calling (619) 767-6000. Call for current prices. AAA discounts are 15% off regular adult admission prices. Groups of 15 or more can get discounted ticket prices of TBD each with 14 days advance notice, or $25.99 with 2 days notice. Food: You may not bring your own food into the park. They offer lots of fast food, like hamburgers and pizza. We liked the burritos and apple pies! Directions to Water Park from Interstate 5 - From San Diego, go south on Interstate 5 past the 54 Freeway. Turn left (East) on Main Street and go approximately 5 miles. Turn Right on Entertainment Circle to the end of the street. Directions to Water Park from Interstate 805 - From San Diego, go south on Interstate 805. Exit Main Street/Auto Park Drive. Turn left (East) on Main Street and go approximately 2 miles. Turn Right on Entertainment Circle to the end of the street.
