It is common for the morning Marine layer to burn off by noon, for beautiful sunny afternoons. If the Marine layer is absent in the morning, expect a warmer day. Temperatures are warmer as you move inland by ~15 degrees, even 25 degrees in the Anza Borrego desert. So if you want warmer weather, choose an inland activity.
