The San Diego Gas Lamp District, also called the Gaslamp Quarter, is a popular 21+ hangout in downtown San Diego, California. The Gas Lamp Quarter offers dining, night clubs, events and parties, including Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday, ShamROCK, Taste of Gaslamp, and the San Diego Film Festival.

Driving Directions to San Diego Gas Lamp District -
From the south: Take Interstate 5 north in downtown San Diego CA, take the 6th Ave. exit. Go left (south) on 6th Ave. In 9 blocks cross Broadway and enter the San Diego Gas Lamp District.
From the north: Take Interstate 5 south past the San Diego airport toward downtown. Exit at Front St. Civic Center exit. Continue along Front Street for 12 blocks to Market St. and turn Left. 5th and Market is the heart of the Gaslamp quarter.
Public Transportation to Gaslamp District San Diego Calif. -
Trolley - Ride the Orange Line to the Gaslamp Quarter Station at the south end of Fifth Avenue or get off at the 5th Avenue Station and walk one block south on C Street. The SD trolley runs from the Mexican border, South Bay, East County, Old Town and Mission Valley.
Bus - Buses take a variety of routes. For maps and timetables for bus and trolley, see San Diego Transit System.
Coaster Train - From the north coastal areas and SD spots along the train route, take the Coaster train to the Santa Fe Depot, and walk about 1/2 mile to the San Diego Gas Lamp Quarter. Note: Coaster trains have limited service on weekends and holidays, so be sure to check the current schedule.
